These kids are so excited! So tonight now that it’s dark we went to the combination “Moon Glow” and “Field of Fire!” Gus T. Guppy was the cutest all lit up in his glory!

I stayed again in the truck with silly Kodiak.
(Someone’s mirror hit my truck! Not too happy about that one! I could have thrown a fit! If you are reading this blog I have the model and make and license plate. But I’m not going to do anything with it. Just slow down and be more careful please! Lot’s of little people out there tonight!)
Kodiak and I stayed in the truck with the heater on because it wasn’t going to be long and because it was now snowing quite a bit. 
WOW THAT IS BRIGHT!
I LOVE SNOW!!!
THE FLAME!
So the kiddos went out and stayed together because it was dark.
Symone said it was very cold. I suppose because it was now snowing and hitting their faces.
We had a very good day. It didn’t cost all that much. Gas and coffees this am. Yet it feels like we did so much today.
Favorite part of the day? Well that depends on who you are… as follows:
Symone: The morning launch, chasing the balloons and watching them land.
Colt: The Moon Glow, and chasing the balloons and watching them land.
Kodiak: (we are guessing) Colt says “This morning, because he got to sleep.” Symone says “He loved riding around in the car.” I would have to agree. He was just very happy today!
My Favorite: I loved it all. I loved watching my kids get so excited and freak out, in a good way! They took over a 1000 photos. I could only showcase a few. They are all tired and they really enjoyed the entire day. No real fights. No one sad! All fun and goofing around and happy! It was a GRAND day!
SOME DID NOT US THEIR BALLOONS… THUS FIELD OF FIRE… JUST A FEW OF THEM. THIS WAS COOL TOO! MAKES ME FEEL WARM LOOKING AT FIRE!
This morning seems like a long time ago. I’m so ready to curl up and go to bed. All that fresh frigid air and all the excitement of finding out what was around the next bend. I may just dream of things floating and tons of colors… Two are already asleep at 8:07 PM.
So if you have followed my blog today… let us know if you have ever seen anything like this… If you have ever visited this event, if you were here? Did you enjoy your day as well? We did not do any of the other events. Although I was hoping to see if they had a dogsled race… I would have gone!
However, there is one question we still have yet to learn the answer to… Why is it always the first weekend in February?

I had fun today. I loved all of it. It was very cold but it was also really fun. We got some awesome pictures.

I”ve heard it… at balloon shows, and the one time I took my wife up in a balloon for her birthday. Had the “woosh” playing in my head while checking out your photos.

Niether did I!!! But, we do strange things for love, and my wife really wanted to go… so, up we went. It was an interesting experience floating across the southern California landscape… It wasn’t nearly as terrifying as I thought it would be, and yet, it’s been nearly 6 years and we haven’t done it again, perhaps that says something too.

Maybe you should try it in this event. They don’t fly so high or for very long… Very cold temps…
Thanks for visiting… The first blog about it was my daughters favorite part of the day… My middle one loved the dark ending… But the whole day was so much fun! Today’s flights were cancelled because of wind!!!

Pesky wind, ruining everyone’s fun. Grr! Tempting, but, I’ve done it once, and that was enough for me. Now if the wife ever say she wants to go again, then I’d probably go again… I won’t be the one suggesting it though.
