It is an AWESOME day! We had a slow morning as Kodiak slept in until almost 11:00 this morning.  It has been coming down all day.  The kids have been out playing this afternoon

Kodi is not in this mess. A wipeout before he went out!

and decided to take Kodiak out.  WOW! When I put on his snow pants and boots and mittens (they are yellow and that used to be his favorite color when he could see) he giggled.  He started stomping. His little happy Indian dance. Symone came and got him and Colt had to right away throw snowballs at them.  I tried to take off the Zorro mask but he wanted it on.  Oh! Well it will keep snow out of his eyes.

Climbing the hill...

I can’t tell anymore how much we have since the kids have been all over the little yard.  They do love the hill behind our townhome.  So Symone took Kodi down on the sled and Colt gave them a push… At the bottom right by the window…

Kodi was giggling but you could not see it… His coat is zipped up over his face.  I’m so glad he gets to go outside in this.  He loves his big brother and sister and he loves the snow. Thank you kiddos for taking your little DeafBlind brother to experience some fun… Hey! He does love those water slides… He must love sledding… We used to take him all the time when he could see something! There is no hibernating for this little Grizzly. We won’t let him!!

Still trying to decide if we should try to ski downhill with him???

I wonder… Would they let me ski with him and pull him on a sled??? Hmmm!!! Maybe that is too extreme  How would we do the lifts! I’d love to put him on special skis where he could go behind me… I’m afraid he’d trip me up… Hmmm! I remember my dad taking us on his old wood skis down the “BIG HILL” when we were kids. we just stood on them… more Hmmm!!!

  1. That is an incredible amount of snow! I can’t help but look at those pictures and think, your DeafBlind son is so lucky that he gets to have over half his face kept warm!

  2. Kodi, you are not alone at all! Having so much warm giving and caring from your lovely family! I was actually so touch by your life story! Keep up good spiritual, keep up your sparking shine! 🙂
